Saying Goodbye to an Old Friend
Vogue came into our lives when my next door died about 5 years ago. Her husband thought he might try and sell him, but he ended up as a "gift horse" to us and became a part of our family. Vogue let me know last week that it is time for him to move on. Although his eyes are still bright and his attitude still spunky, his 30 year old body just can't continue on. I've made the arrangements for him and he will move on this Wednesday. I took this picture this afternoon - this is my son Caleb with Vogue. He will be missed.

Saying goodbye is the hardest part, but Vogue is lucky to have you aware that it is time to go. He will have the chance to pass in dignity.
ReplyDeletethank you Gail. He did pass on in dignity. He marched up the hill on his own, grazed on the grass near my house and was a very good boy for the vet. We miss him lots :(
